Centro Cultural de Ajijic
The Ajijic Cultural Center is in Jardín Norte in front of the main square of Ajijic, Jalisco Mexico. It is a bustling little town just 3 miles down the Lake Chapala. It has murals and sculptures by artists with worldwide recognition. In addition, it offers several activities focused on the arts. From classical music concerts with young people, to puppet shows, to various plays, as well as regularly changing exhibitions of paintings, photography, and sculpture.
Now in its 14th year, the Ajijic Cultural Center is an important part of maintaining Mexican traditions in Ajijic with workshops and classes such as balet folklórico and Aztec dance. The Center also has classical, jazz, Indian classical and rock concerts on a regular basis, plus plays and art exhibitions. Sometimes artists and performers come from Guadalajara or other places. You’ll find yoga, dance, voice, and musical instrument classes here, too.
