Kakum Forest

Kakum National Park is a famous national park located in central Ghana. This park is known for its lush rainforest, rich biodiversity and spectacular skywalk. Established in 1992, the park covers an area of approximately 375 square kilometres and is one of the most representative protected areas in Ghana. Kakum National Park’s rainforest covers a large area and is home to many endangered and rare species, including monkeys, birds, butterflies and other wildlife. In addition, there are several ecosystems in the park, such as rivers, wetlands and mountains, which provide a living environment for many plants and animals.

Park landmark attractions is its cantilever in the sky above the Canopy Walkway . This 350-meter-long suspension bridge, suspended between trees and reaching a height of more than 40 meters, offers a unique experience where visitors can overlook the lush rainforest and experience the spectacular views of nature. Kakum National Park is not only an important ecological reserve, but also one of Ghana’s tourist attractions. Visitors can participate in a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, bird watching, wildlife observation, etc., to feel the beauty of nature.
