2.1. İvedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant
İvedik Water Treatment Plant is the Turkey’s largest water treatment plant, it was built to meet Ankara’s drinking water, utility water and industrial water needs until 2070. The facility is planned as 4 stages, each with a capacity of 564,000 m3/day.
The first stage of the İvedik Water Treatment Plant was built and completed in 1984, the second stage in 1992 and the third stage in 2014. The total capacity of the 3 stages of the plant is 1,692,000 m³ / day (7 million equivalent population).
