Guadalajara is the cultural center of Mexico. It is the home of mariachi music, the Jarabe dances and host to large number of large-scale cultural events like the Guadalajara International Film festivals, and the tequila produced from the agave plant. In addition, Local Campus Party and Talent Land attract some of the best minds in the country.
There is only one Silicon Valley, however Guadalajara, Mexico’s technology capital, hosts 1,000 of high technology companies employing 150,000 workers and the advanced research centers of leading global companies including Oracle, Intel, Facebook, Google, Apple, Netflix, LinkedIn, and other tech giants.
