Lyubertsy Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Lyubertsy wastewater treatment plant was put into operation in 1963 and is the largest in Europe with 3000000 m³/day capacity. It is located at Nekrasovka District, southeast Moscow and is under major reconstruction and it has been modernized several times.
It treats industrial and domestic wastewater from northwestern, northern, northeastern, and eastern districts of Moscow, as well as Moscow Region’s towns of Khimki, Dolgoprudny, Mytishchi, Balashikha, Reutov, Zheleznodorozhny, and Lyubertsy.
